On December 23, 2021 the V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of theory and practice of forensic examination on issues of intellectual property" ("Krainevski readings") was held.
The following issues were offered for discussion to the participants of the V "Krainevski Readings":
- problems of reforming forensic examination field in the area of intellectual property;
- forensic examination in the field of technical creativity (inventions, utility models, industrial designs);
- forensic examination of trade names and trademarks;
- economic research and expertise in the field of intellectual property;
- examination of computer programs, databases and telecommunication systems;
- ways of development and improvement of science and education in the field of intellectual property protection, etc.
Partners of Doubinsky & Osharova Victoria Sopilnyak, Anton Koval, and counsel of Doubinsky & Osharova Mykola Pototskyy took part in the event.
Victoria and Anton in their presentations explored the topic “The role of an expert in intellectual property cases” and drew attention to the fact that practically no one IP-related dispute could be properly resolved by the court without a forensic examination. They also highlighted that a well-grounded expert opinion is the key to effective protection of intellectual property rights.
Mykola Pototskyy devoted his speech to the topic: "The effect of laws over time: the application of conditions for legal protection of objects of intellectual property rights."
