Partners of Doubinsky & Osharova took part in Ukrainian academic and research conference “Actual problems of forensic examination in the field of intellectual property”

Partners of Doubinsky & Osharova Victoria Sopilnyak and Anton Koval took part in the Ukrainian academic and research conference “Actual problems of forensic examination in the field of intellectual property”, which was held on December 2, 2016.

 During the conference, important issues in the sphere of intellectual property were discussed, such as the reform within the state system of intellectual property protection, main aspects of forensic examination of intellectual property rights, the judicial reform and others.

 In particular, Anton Koval in his report on "Practical issues of examination of intellectual property rights in litigation ", focused the audience's attention on the urgent practical issues of court examination of intellectual property rights that arise in litigation, including the need for an appointment of such expertise in appropriate cases; a range of questions, which are advisable to be put on the explanation of the examination; the term of its implementation; the quality research experts and their assessment by the court.  According to Anton Koval, the expert’s opinion remains one of the most important evidence for this type of cases and that the efficiency of the judicial protection of the intellectual property rights in Ukraine depends on the quality and the terms of obtaining the court's examination as evidence.
