WIPR Trailblazers 2022

The principle of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) is becoming more and more important every day and is one of the fundamental principles for successful business development.

The progressiveness of companies is assessed based on whether the company is guided by this principle, whether it welcomes diversity and inclusion in its HR policies. Companies like Google, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Uber, particularly, are exactly that.

For many years the international edition World IP Review has been studying the D&I principle in one of the most progressive legal practices - in the field of intellectual property.

Recently, the annual WIPR Diversity unveiling WIPR Influential Women in IP 2022 and WIPR Trailblazers 2022 has been released.

WIPR Trailblazers profiles young women professionals with a decade or less of experience in the IP industry.

This year, in WIPR TRAILBLAZERS 2022, Ukraine is represented by Valeriya Sokolova, associate of Doubinsky & Osharova.

Valeriya was qualified in 2021, when she obtained a master’s diploma in law from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine. She specialises in trademarks and copyright protection.

The edition noted that after russia's invasion of Ukraine Valeriya co-wroted a number of articles for Ukrainian and international editions exploring the changes in russian legislation on IP, including the article for WIPR dedicated to flagrant violations of intellectual property rights of foreign companies in russia: compulsory licensing, the introduction of parallel import of goods, temporary management of foreign enterprises, etc.

We wish Valeriya a bright professional future!
